Garden Tool Rack

Posted by cash330 on Jun 27, 2011 under gardening

A garden tool rack is essential for any gardener that has a significant number of garden tools. Finding the right storage will involve accommodating the type of tools you have.  For example, if you have long-handled tools, you’re not going to use bucket storage because that is built for hand tools.

How Many Tools do you have?

The more tools you have, the more storage you will need which means a larger garden tool rack. Most garden tool racks will hold approximately a dozen or so long-handled tools. However, the capacity can vary widely from rack to rack.

When shopping around for a rack, wait until you have all the tools you know you will buy, at least for a season. Then look for a garden tool rack that will hold the tools you have with a few extra spots for potential future growth. It’s important to be able to store all your tools so that you don’t have a couple laying around to add clutter or get broken.

What Kind of Space do you have?

Some garden tool racks are long and wide, some fit in a corner, and others attach to the wall. The kind of space you have will dictate the type of rack you need. Wall storage units are ideal for a limited number of tools in the tight space of a garage or shed. A corner unit can also be convenient in some cases. Measure out your space to find the best rack for the space you have.

Expanding

There is always the possibility of growing your garden tools. Getting a slightly larger garden tool rack than you need will help, but you may also find you need to expand. Don’t be afraid to add wall units, corner units, or carts to accommodate your new garden tool purchases.
